Building Demolition and Demolition Work

You need to clear space before taking the next step

Before renovating, remodeling, or demolishing an old structure, it's important to assess the work required. You can contact us for both small and large-scale demolition projects; we'll discuss feasibility and the work process based on the specific site.

In addition to your demolition needs, please let us know if you also need help with loading and hauling away debris or cleaning up the site.

What types of demolition projects can you contact us about?

Interior demolition of apartments and preparation for renovation

When remodeling a prefabricated or brick apartment, several specific demolition tasks may arise. The feasibility of removing coverings, fixtures, or building components must be assessed based on the existing condition and the planned renovation.

Removal of Floor and Wall Coverings

You can also request an assessment regarding the demolition of tiles, pavers, hardwood flooring, or other floor and wall coverings. The scope of the work is determined by the size of the surface to be demolished, the substrate, and the protection of remaining surfaces.

Removal of Doors, Windows, and Frames

Before replacing or remodeling doors and windows, removing the old elements may be part of the job. It must be clarified in advance which elements will remain and how the demolition relates to subsequent work.

Demolition of Partition Walls and Portions of the Building

When remodeling an interior space, the work does not necessarily affect the entire building. We determine what can be demolished based on the structure, the wiring, and the parts to be retained; the contract is contingent upon an on-site survey and clarification of the necessary conditions.

Single-Family Homes and Outbuildings

You can also contact us for the partial or complete demolition of an old house, garage, shed, wood shed, or addition. During the survey, we assess the condition of the structure, the surrounding area, and the feasibility of removing the demolition debris.

Manual Demolition and Work Requiring Special Care

In confined spaces or near parts of the building that are to remain standing, the choice of work method is particularly important. We determine the feasibility of manual demolition and the specific work phases based on the site conditions.

Assessment of the demolition of concrete surfaces, foundations, and slabs

For these types of work, material thickness, rebar, structural function, and the necessary machinery are all determining factors. Such requirements must be assessed separately; the project can only be undertaken after the task and conditions have been clarified.

Collection and Removal of Debris

Bagging, removal, loading, and transport of debris following demolition can also be included in the agreement. Please specify which phases of the work you would like to entrust to us when requesting a quote.

When might demolition be necessary?

Before new construction: The goal may be to remove an old structure obstructing the planned work and to prepare the site.

During renovation or expansion: Removing necessary building components, finishes, or doors and windows can make room for the new design.

For site preparation: After demolishing an unused outbuilding, it may be necessary to remove the debris and level the surface.

In the case of a structure in poor condition: A preliminary professional condition assessment is required to evaluate demolition options. We will discuss the feasibility of such a project separately.

Why is it a good idea to plan related tasks together?

A well-thought-out sequence of work. Demolition, loading, hauling, and site cleanup build on one another. Coordinating them in advance makes it easier to synchronize these tasks.

A more organized work area. Scheduling the handling and removal of debris helps prepare the site for the next task.

A solution tailored to the site. We determine the necessary work method based on site access, remaining structural elements, and the surrounding environment.

More transparent costs. The requested work phases can be listed separately in the quote, making it clear what is included in the contract.

What information is helpful for the assessment?

  • The type and size of the structure or part of the building to be demolished.
  • Its materials, condition, and surroundings.
  • The proximity of the remaining parts of the building and adjacent areas.
  • Accessibility to the work site and the loading area.
  • The condition of utility lines and the available documentation.
  • The desired deadline and related work.

We start with a preliminary consultation

We clarify the necessary preparations, the scope of the demolition, and the removal of debris before work begins. The quote is prepared based on the tasks agreed upon during this consultation.
